![]() An example for gameplay I can think of is in Phantom Menace, the point from Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon Getting to theed, and then escaping Naboo with the queen. The problem I see is that they didn't use the open world sections for extensive gameplay or story, so the whole experience was more rushed than it technically needed to be. One example I can think of is that this game has 5 pitched levels for a movie and some open world story along with it. The difference is those two were more concise with how they executed it. I get what they were trying to do, especially considering my favorite Lego games are Indy2 & Undercover, which this game does take some gameplay inspiration from in a lot of ways. Regarding the individual movie story modes. But I should note that Lego games are the only exception to the rule were I have to use a controller. Which I should note that I usually prefer using M&K over controllers especially in muilti control type games like this with aircraft. especially since I was playing on mouse & keyboard a lot of the times. One thing that really annoyed me at first although I got used to it is the ingame menu system is terrible to navigate. But once you're done with Kyber Bricks and have to start playing every mission all over again while focusing on the 100%, it really burnt me out.Īs someone who has 100% nearly 1.75 times and has about 250 hours in it. I did like the game a lot while doing the story for the first time, I even liked it for a large portion of the Kyber Bricks. There are excellent story levels aswell, but just kind of a letdown when you have to play a lame level inbetween. Some of the story levels are just way too bland, especially when you have to replay them two or sometimes more times. There are cool characters, like Luminara, who never says anything. To add to this, the lack of voice lines in some cases. The voice acting is so overdone it's cringe and the lines themselves are dumb. But the vast majority is just "pick it up". There were good puzzles and funny moments while getting all the bricks and whatnot, don't get me wrong. Look I get it, going for 100% is a choice I made by myself, but come on there's gotta be a limit. ![]() Only once the game crashed in a loading screen. Multiple times you had to reset a level because as an example a boulder you were supposed to move with force glitched out and couldn't be interacted with anymore so you couldn't get the minikit. When you gather 1000+ bricks and do every level challenge and minikit, these little bugs start annoying you a lot. Not big ones mind you, nothing that wipes your safe folder or sets you back multiple hours. My first LEGO game ever and I got 100% achievements a couple of days ago.
